Ray Solomonoff
Dartmouth participant whose early work on algorithmic complexity influenced theories of learning.
Solomonoff was one of only three people to stay for the full 1956 Dartmouth summer project. His work on algorithmic probability and inductive inference offered a formal framework for how machines might learn from data, ideas that later resonated across statistics and machine learning.
