Capable LLMs in chatbots can look general-purpose yet remain brittle on planning, tools, and facts; they are not AGI by most definitions. Some AI agents stretch toward broader autonomy but still fall short of the label. Superintelligence (ASI) is a further hypothetical step beyond human-level general ability.
