Pascal Vincent
Canadian machine learning researcher who co-authored the 2003 neural probabilistic language model and later popularised denoising autoencoders.
At the Université de Montréal, Vincent co-authored the 2003 neural language model paper with Yoshua Bengio and colleagues, introducing distributed word representations that helped overcome the curse of dimensionality in n-gram models. His later work on denoising autoencoders (2008) became a standard tool for learning robust representations in deep learning.
