Marvin Minsky
MIT cognitive scientist who co-wrote Perceptrons and helped launch the 1956 Dartmouth workshop.
Minsky co-organized the 1956 Dartmouth project that named artificial intelligence and later co-authored the 1969 book Perceptrons with Seymour Papert, which analyzed limits of perceptron networks. His work spanned symbolic AI and early neural network criticism.
